Don’t we hear it way too often: “I would like to do this or that – but …”?
I must admit: sometimes I am guilty of this, too.
Who wouldn’t like to see the whole world, be healthy, live free, spend great time with our loved ones, have lots of money to buy stuff and do whatever we want to do, build a school for poor kids, play the piano, bake fancy cakes, learn one more language, win a race or a championship in some sport, or write a book?
Whenever I am speaking with people and they tell me that they also would love to do some of the things that I am doing, like singing or wandering around in the world and living wherever they want to live, the only thing I can think of saying to them: “Sing! Just sing, it’s simple, everyone can sing.” or “Get on the road! There are so many ways to do it.”
Oh, but it’s not that simple!…
That is a good moment to refresh our memory and think about this quote.
Following the Page I wrote today about My story with lymphedema, these words came into my mind:
“Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.”
This famous quote by Henry Ford is also known as
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” and
“If you think you can or think you can’t, either way you are right.”
Share away, if you agree!
Be happy and healthy,
Andrea
